Grand Boulage

The ti malice Center is also involved in its community's well being. During a seminar held at Grand Boulage ( a small village at 25 minutes from the city of Mirebalais ) our ti malice teachers decided to help the only school of the region by sponsoring 100 children of pre school age. In September, school bags, books, pencils and school supplies were distributed to those children. The same day, the ti malice team congratulated and gave three trophies to the winners of the First ti Malice soccer tournament. Located in the Departement du Centre, the people of Grand Boulage have no running water, no electricity and no medical services. The only school available is the presbytarian school directed by a priest , Pere Tristan. The population survives thanks to manioc, pois congo and corn crops. Every little bit of help they can find is important to them !

Ti malice seminars - Oct 2007, Port-au-Prince

The ti malice Center , a place where teachers learn how to use the Ti Malice au Pays des lettres method, opened September 2007. Since then, it has trained hundreds of teachers all over Haiti to effectively teach Haitian children how to read and write.

Seminar day begins with registration. Each participant receives information and instructions about ti malice.

The participants are required to actively participate in the lesson demonstrations that they would also be doing in their own classroom.

Other methods of teaching are Power point presentation and videos !
The seminar ends with each participant receiving a certificate and a lunch .

Ti malice makes Oprah's magazine !
